Heartland Animal Shelter’s signature fundraising event Walk of Love is back and in person this year! Join us to raise money for our lifesaving work. This fun, dog-friendly event includes a 2.5K walk, food and beverages, activities, raffles, and more! This is for EVERYONE (not just for dog people) and it’s a great way to meet other Heartland supporters.
What to do
- Be a winner at the Duck Pull - cash is best
- Take your pooch to our "Ice Cream Parlor" for a fun snack
- Take a photo with "Ziggy" the Bulldog
- Run with your pup in our obstacle course and try some "nose work" with your pup
- Let your pup cool off in a kiddie pool sponsored by Splash Dog
- Buy some raffle tickets for one of the 9 raffle baskets and for our 50/50 raffle (last year paid out over $500!)
- Online raffle tickets will be on sale through Friday. Then they will be available at the Walk of Love on Saturday.
- Enjoy some bagels, pastries and fruit

9:00 am - Welcome
9:30 am - Walk begins - there will be a 1 mile, 1.5 mile and 2 mile option
10:00 am - Activities, raffles and snacks
10:30 am - Alumni photo and group photo
11:00 am - Raffle winners pulled (you do not need to be present to win)

Potawatomi Woods, Northbrook (the entrance on Dundee Road, just east of Milwaukee Avenue)
